At Mount Mahabharata Homestay Retreat Farm, we’ve created a space where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and truly connect with nature and local life. To keep this experience special for everyone, we simply ask our guests to be mindful and follow a few shared guidelines.
- Quiet hours: 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Illegal substances: Bringing or consuming illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
- Public behavior: Public displays of affection and sexually suggestive behavior—such as kissing, wearing overly revealing or tight clothing, or openly expressing sexuality—are not permitted.
- Footwear: Wearing shoes or slippers inside the room is not allowed.
- Blanket use: Please do not sit or lie on blankets designated for sleeping.
- Stray animals: Most street dogs may not be safe. Please avoid interacting with them.
- Food hygiene: Avoid licking your hands or fingers while cooking or handling food. If it happens, wash your hands immediately before continuing. This is an important cultural practice—touching food without washing after licking is considered to contaminate the entire meal.
- Respectful conversation: As this is a home environment, please avoid political or other controversial, tense, or hurtful discussions.
- Leaving your room: When leaving your room, please close the windows, turn off electrical appliances (such as lights), lock the door, and keep the key with you.
- Indoor etiquette: When indoors, please keep the door closed as much as possible.
- Additional charges: Bottled water, toilet paper and camping in the mountains
- Inform the host: Please inform the host when you leave the homestay.
- Meal times: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at fixed times. Please try not to miss them.
- Kitchen policy: Bringing non-vegetarian food into the homestay kitchen is not permitted.
- Hiking: Before going on a hike alone or for the first time, it is important to get proper information about the routes and inform the host in advance.
